During the COVID-19 pandemic millions of people lost their jobs, and have lost the connection with those they love. The pandemic has wreaked havoc on the working class particularly on beauty stylists and salons. During the shutdown and quarantine orders, salons and stylists were not deemed essential and were forced to close. In addition, many stylists did not qualify to receive unemployment benefits. The Labor Department reported that the business shutdowns and stay-at-home orders caused by the pandemic have led 30 million Americans to file for unemployment insurance, or roughly 1 of every 6 workers. MUAH is a mobile app that allows salons, stylists, and makeup artists to virtually to stay connected, and was created with a goal to reconnect the world, and to restore a normal way of life for those that have lost it. We truly believe, that with your help, and financial support together, we can eliminate industry poverty, and pave the way for a sustainable future.
